Located in the historic area, 19th century building, the client decided to renovate a two storeys height roofspace into a modern penthouse. The renovation is made to increase the natural light and to get a better air circulation. Sleeping area is located on the mezzanine with two bedrooms. Downstairs,  is an open living area.  In the central part is a halfoval hole with the double height ceiling and large central window overlooking to the downtown. Next to are the staircases  linked to the upper floor, together form a spiral line heading up. Modular kitchen furniture gives enough space for cooking and large dining area.

A 16th century bourgeois building is contrasting with a lofty like under roof space. Wrapping around the 80cm thick walls and creating hinges gradient of painting is used to increase the shadowintesity and sophisticated impression in the loft.We achieved windows intersecting the concrete plane – obtaining amazing views. We also managed to intersect diverse programs. Detailing is very particular here.
