Townhouse is situated in the Wimpole St in the very center of London, just few minutes by walk from the Oxford St, busiest shopping street. Unlike the very dense Oxford Street, the Wimpole Street is quiet and noble area well known for its well settled doctors.
A 16th century bourgeois building is contrasting with a lofty like under roof space.
Located in the historic area, 19th century building, the client decided to renovate a two storeys height roofspace into a modern penthouse. The renovation is made to increase the natural light and to get a better air circulation.
The transformation from one state to another in our / human / nature. The interior of a dwelling must meet the needs, of even the smallest one, who lives there, and on the other hand it could be transformed depending on the request of the family.
Apartment is designed as open space, with detached rooms, with the doors only on the restrooms. The main entrance is positioned to reach the heart of the apartment, where all convergent axes meet.
Here classical division hallway room needed to be interrupted. We created an active performative volume- we call it kokpit. Other elements are sliding, pivoting- no ‘normal’ doors.

This project is taking initiative in the scenery tactics ( Bosh, first perspective drawings,pneumatic system graphics) so advertising character of the profession be comes leading here. Branding a domestic space was an intriguing experience to us.
Office / office space is space in which working person spends most of his days. With this impression we projected office where working person would feel comfortable and relaxed.
