This furniture is a result of a competition organized by SIEPA (Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency) for the 3rd time in order to represent Serbian designers and furniture producers, at the world’s largest design event Fuori Salone.
This project examines contemporary architecture in Greece in the context of the urban, social and cultural changes being driven by globalization and rapid economic development.
Reims is a city in north-east France, 45 minutes from Paris by the TGV Est (high-speed train) and at the
heart of a rich agricultural and winegrowing region which is home to most of the best “Champagne”
vintages. Situated in the Marne Department and the Champagne Ardenne Region, it enjoys a privileged
position on the edge of the Paris basin, served by three motorways (A 4 Paris – Strasbourg, A 26 Calais -
Dijon, and A 34 Reims – Sedan).
An already won competition 10 years ago needed rethinking. SINESTEZIA made proposal adapt the winning project, the conceptual for walls and to give programming options for the Tower.
Every year a business plan is recalculated looking at social and economical factors that will decide on how much and what proportion should be built. We create tower blocks of 8 stories and 5 residential houses that interlock the tower and link with the landscape.
Kalemegdan is Belgrade fortress dating from Roman time. The city population was concentrated within the walls of the fortress, thus the history of the fortress, until most recent history equals the history of Belgrade itself. This proposal is a horizontal landscaped topography with historical signifiers and triggers for Belgrade.
The ambition for the site was to meet the demands of the contemporary urban dweller through the creation of a new urban prototype, that for us is a fusion of courtyard and patio housing typologies.
